Brandon graduated from Chaminade-Julienne in 2001 after transferring to C-J the summer before his junior year. He was a two year starter for the Eagles playing OT & DT on the ’99 team that finished 11-3 reaching the state semi finals, and ’00 that finished 10-3. He was a PrepStar All-America and two-time Associated Press all-state player. Brandon accepted a full athletic scholarship to Michigan State University where he wore #99 as a DT. Starting two-and-a-half seasons at for the Spartans, He finished career with 93 tackles, 2.5 sacks and six tackles for loss. Brandon was the second-leading tackler on defensive line with career-high 42 stops as junior in 2004. After finishing his career at Michigan State (‘02-‘05) earning a degree in social science, he signed a two-year contract with the San Diego Chargers as a undrafted free agent rookie May 8, 2006. Brandon saw limited action recording 2 solo tackles in 2006, while gaining valuable experience. In 2007, Brandon recorded 21 tackles (14 solo) playing both DT and DE.
